Climate Action

Our responsibility

The textile industry plays a significant role in global emissions with estimates suggesting that the textile and apparel industry contributes 2% to 4% of global emissions, the need for climate action across the sector is clear.

Dæhlie is committed to contributing to climate solutions through targeted and science-based actions. Guided by the Science Based Targets initiative, our parent company Active Brands has set a net-zero target across the value chain by 2050

Actions towards reduced emissions

Dæhlie aims to achieve net-zero emissions in our own operations by 2025 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions per product by 60% by 2030. We recognize that complete zero emissions may not be achievable, but we commit to cutting at least 90% of our footprint before claiming net-zero, in line with SBTi methodology.

Most emissions are linked to material production. Our key actions focus on transitioning to lower-impact raw materials, replacing fossil-based energy with renewables, and improving energy efficiency in collaboration with our suppliers. As most emissions fall outside our direct control, progress depends on partnership. Through our membership in the Swedish Textile Initiative for Climate Action STICA, we work with over 50 industry peers to align the textile sector with a 1.5°C pathway
