What is 37.5® Technology?

37.5® Technology

is a set of active particles built into the fibers. They capture moisture from your skin before it turns into sweat, which helps you keep your core temperature steady at 37.5 °C (99.5 °F), even when the intensity increases.

Read on to learn how the technology works, and which Dæhlie garments contain 37.5® Technology for cross-country skiing.

37.5® Technology captures moisture from your skin as vapor, before it turns into liquid sweat. That helps you stay dry and keep your core temperature steady.

It is built on active particles made from volcanic sand. The particles are permanently embedded in the fibers of the fabric, not applied as a coating. They attract the vapor and move it away from the skin. Traditional moisture-wicking fabrics move sweat to the outside of the garment. 37.5® Technology starts earlier.

The result is a steadier microclimate next to your skin, smaller swings in temperature and faster drying. It is not about avoiding sweat. It is about managing it as efficiently as possible.

The main benefits are faster drying, a steadier body temperature and more time before you feel wet from sweat. You notice it on a long, easy ski, in a hard interval session and on the start line of a race.

The number in the name refers to two values the technology is built around: a core temperature of 37.5 °C (99.5 °F) and a relative humidity of 37.5 % next to the skin.

The aim is a stable microclimate against your skin, so you don't get too hot or clammy as you train.

No. The particles are a permanent part of the fibers, not a coating that can be washed away. The function stays wash after wash.

Follow the care label on the garment, and the technology lasts as long as the material.
