The all-new Jacket Athlete is a superlight running jacket made in a windproof and water repellent fabric with great stretch for optimal fit and feel. It does not provide any insulation except from that, so wearing this during colder days, you need to adjust for your personal requirements. If this is done the right way, you should feel temperature regulated and dry during your run.
The way we to do this is to find the optimal products to wear under the jacket. The range would go from short to long sleeve baselayers, adding a midlayer for extra insulation or even to add a vest during the coldest days. Use a technical baselayer if you sweat a lot or if you have a very intensive run, or use wool baselayer during the coldest days or when the intensity is lower. The important is that you try different layers to find what is optimal for you. But, if your one and only running jacket is a heavy, insulated jacket, you have no chance doing this.
Another tips from one of our runners, is to always except and feel a bit chilly when starting. If you feel warm the minute you step out of the door, we can guarantee that you`ll soon feel both too warm and sweaty, and probably not have the best feeling during your run.
